STATUS: Non Exempt –Full Time

 

ACTIVITIES COORDINATOR

 

Position reports to the Activities Manager. Works under general supervision.

 

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for implementing and overseeing all planned resort activities for our guests during their stay at the Resort.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for planning and directing the activity program.

2. Prepare the activities report and deposit.

3. Responsible for the collection of activities income and providing an accurate accounting of funds collected and turned over to the manager on a daily basis.

4. Responsible for overseeing the game room during scheduled hours and ensuring supplies are stocked in the game room.

5. Responsible for purchasing the inventory of supplies and merchandise for the activities program and communicating to the manager in advance when supplies are needed.

6. Help with the pool and deck as needed. Help with maintenance when needed.

7. Get supplies for owners and guests when needed.

8. Conducts themselves in a professional manner at all times when on duty.

9. Attend all safety meetings.

10. Driving as needed on behalf of the Resort.

11. Follow all rules and regulations as set forth in the latest Employees Handbook.

12. Assist other employees as needed or in their absence.

13. Any other jobs or duties that may be assigned by the Resort General Manager, or the Director of Resorts.

 

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with normal activities. Must be well organized. Advocates team support. Ability to get along with diverse personalities – tactful, mature, and responsible.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Fluency in both verbal and written English. Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and technical instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work outside and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of radiation. The work environment is that of a typical office with a moderate noise level. This noise level is created by light foot traffic and office equipment noise such as computers, printers, calculators, phones, etc.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Fluency in both written and verbal English. Has the ability to understand written and oral instructions as required. Must have the ability to plan and implement activities. Good organizational skills are necessary.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or equivalent.
